Tennant Creek Copper-Gold Project
Project Highlights
Tennant Creek
Copper-Gold Project
- The project comprises some 240km of highly prospective tenure in the Gecko-Goanna copper-gold corridor.
- 30km north-west of the town of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory in close proximity to gas pipeline, grid power, the Stuart Highway and rail line to Darwin.
- Combined Mineral Resource of 6.6Mt @ 1.8% Cu and 0.7g/t Au for 122kt Cu and 145koz Au.
- We hold a 55% ownership stake in this project in collaboration with our joint venture partner, CuFe Ltd.
The Project has significant exploration potential to expand existing resources with several kilometres of the favourable structural trend and host stratigraphy untested. Study work and follow up drilling have identified the following priority targets:
- A number of high grade copper intersections in the southern shear zone that have been largely untested;
- Potential to extend the Goanna resource along strike and down dip; and
- Extension of the Gecko – Goanna mineral corridor which is open in all directions.
Drilling has intercepted high grade gold and copper at multiple locations over a 3km strike length, including:
- 12m @ 16.9g/t Au, 2.0% Cu; and
- 15m @ 8.1g/t Au, 4.2% Cu
