Copper and Gold Mining
Tennant Creek Copper-Gold Project
Project Highlights
100% owned contiguous tenement package (~240km2) in the highly prospective Gecko-Goanna copper-gold corridor - one of the richest and Proterozoic goldfields in Australia.
Combined Mineral Resource of 6.6Mt @ 1.8% Cu and 0.7g/t Au for 122kt Cu and 145koz Au.
Significant exploration potential with several kilometres of the favourable structural trend and host stratigraphy untested.
Opportunity for regional consolidation.
Located near to existing supporting infrastructure with access to sealed roads,
railway, nearby airstrip and grid power.
Situated near key infrastructure, the Tennant Creek Mineral Field is one of the richest goldfields in Australia
Tennant Creek presents an attractive opportunity to secure a substantial land
package (~240km2) in the highly prospective Gecko-Goanna copper-gold corridor.
The Project is located with multiple access points and near existing infrastructure
including sealed roads, railway, nearby airstrip and grid power.
The Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) is one of the highest grade Proterozoic
goldfields in Australia. Gold was first mined at Tennant Creek in the 1930s and
copper was first mined in the 1950s.
Since then the mineral field has produced more than 5.5Moz of gold at an average
grade of 19.3g/t Au (excluding tailings retreatment) and from gold/copper mines
approximately 488kt of copper metal at an average grade of 2.9% Cu and 4.8g/t Au.
High-grade JORC Mineral Resource
The Project hosts a high-grade Mineral Resource of 6.6Mt @ 1.8% Cu and 0.7g/t Au for ~154kt (330Mlb) of contained CuEq across three deposits:
Significant exploration upside
The Project has significant exploration potential to expand existing resources with
several kilometres of the favourable structural trend and host stratigraphy untested. Study work and follow up drilling have identified the following priority
targets:
a number of high grade copper intersections in the southern shear zone that have been largely untested;
potential to extend the Goanna resource along strike and down dip; and
extension of the Gecko – Goanna mineral corridor which is open in all directions.
Drilling has intercepted high grade gold and copper at multiple locations over a 3km strike length, including:
12m @ 16.9g/t Au, 2.0% Cu; and
15m @ 8.1g/t Au, 4.2% Cu
